I would like to know if there is a plug-in or any other program that could
auto-detect host and services by network range scan.

I am using pbnj (http://pbnj.sourceforge.net/) it has been working very
well for me, but would also be interested in a more hobbit centric solution.

dude for win32:  http://www.mikrotik.com/thedude.php, but this is not hobbit.

autoscan for hobbit ?
nmap can do the work of auto-discovery but without hobbit web frontend and hb integration.
Now the bad part:  someone need to work on this, any volunteer ?
