I'm seeing an error with bbwin where the message description does not show
up in hobbit. The description alone is about 1600 characters.

It looks like this in hobbit...

system: warning - 2008/10/30 11:03:13 - NETLOGON (5807) - n/a
 ""

Is there a limit to the description size on individual log entries?

Why are you unhappy? Because 99.9% Of everything you think, And of
everything you do, Is for yourself - And there isn't one.

Stewart, you'll probably get a better answer if you post to the bbwin user's mailing list.

I know there are limitations to bbwin's ability to process Windows event logs. I do not know what, exactly, they are.

Looking at the archives, it seems that list is mostly spam...

There has been a lot of spam on the bbwin mailing list for the past month or so. My spam collector is catching it now. Etienne Grignon [user-87c74c1037a4@xymon.invalid] is the author of bbwin. Give him a shout.
