alerting rules for ldaps

I have been setting up alert rules on my hobbit server and noticed one
strange thing. If I want to get an alert based on ldaps I get no email,
but if I change the service name to ldap, hobbit will send an alert. Is
this a bug ?

Sounds more like a configuration issue in your alert configuration.

Try running "~/server/bin/bbcmd hobbitd_alert --test HOSTNAME ldaps"
and see what alert rules match/do not match and compare that with your
expectations.
