aggregated availablity

Has anyone done any customization wtih bbgen or someother way to generate html and graph report of aggregated application availability? So if I have host1,host2,host3 reporting availability of application app1 on their node I like a total availability of app1. so host1 says app1 available 99% of time in last month. host2 reports 98% for same app1 and host3 reports 99%. I like to have a availability report of 98.67% for app1 . I guess I could get the csv reports of bbgen for all hosts and then create a report of avg for the app1. I rather not invent the procedure if something like that can be done by hobbit already -- Asif Iqbal PGP Key: 0xE62693C5 KeyServer: pgp.mit.edu A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. I would try "bbcombotest". Create an entry like this en bbcombotest.cfg app1.conn = host1.conn || host2.conn || host3.conn (.conn or whatever) then, an entry in bb-host : 0.0.0.0 app1 # noconn NAME:"My Application 01" and after a will, I will try to generate a report and watch the "My Application 01" availability. from the example pdf samples it looks like, it gives you availability report of all services per host. I am actually looking for aggregated availability per application (services in hobbit's term) all cross the hosts. I will checkout the example that LMJ sent about using bbcombotest in this thread. Thanks

That is exactly what I was looking for.
then, an entry in bb-host : 0.0.0.0 app1 # noconn NAME:"My Application 01"
How do I make sure no other service except the radius (for example) column shows up for all the hosts in this include page ? I see NOCOLUMNS:column[,column] for each of those host entries as one option. I sure don't want `notest' (like noconn) for each test unless I can have a .default. entry just for that include page. Can that be done? I guess I could test it out myself as well. Thanks

0.0.0.0 .default. # NOCOLUMNS:cpu did not work. It made cpu entry for all hosts below it (in include page) make purple 0.0.0.0 .default. # nocpu did not do anything. the cpu entries for the hosts below are still green. I guess adding notest for all the other tests except app1 service is only option. like below 0.0.0.0 host1 # app1 nocpu nodisk ...

I've create a group to make the app1 alone : group App1 Status 0.0.0.0 app1 # noconn NAME:"My Application 01" or check out group-only COLUMN1|COLUMN2|COLUMN3 App1 Status

this worked out perfect. now, when I click on a column it takes me to the service page as usual. so if I click on column1 of app1, it takes me to the SERVICE=column1 page. In that page is it possible to make the buttons click-able that are defined in the bbcombohost.cfg file? so bbcombohost.cfg file is app1.radius = radius.example.com.conn && radius.example.com.radius And the app1's SERVICE page for column radius shows like this <green button> radius.example.com.conn <green button> radius.example.com.radius Is there a way to make those buttons click-able, so it will go the service page `radius' of host `radius.example.com' for example ?

But, bbcombotest would give you aggregate (which is what you asked for, but the example you gave was for average, which is a different thing, so I didn't suggest bbcombotest ...)

Thanks. Any idea if the buttons (like green diamond or red blink) in service page of bbcombotest's can be clickable ? I like to be able to click those buttons to go the specific host.test service page from the combo report So the service page for a combo test looks like this mail.example.net.conn&&mail.example.net.pop3&&mail.example.net.smtp = 1&&1&&1 = 1 green mail.example.net.conn green mail.example.net.pop3 green mail.example.net.smtp Would be nice if I could click on the green diamond button and that will take me to mail.example.net's conn service page, for example Anyone expanded the bbcombotest report like that?
