I'm trying to install the RPM for AIX client for hobbit and It complains
about

/bin/bash is needed by hobbit-client-4.2.0-7.aix5.3.re

/bin/sh is needed by hobbit-client-4.2.0-7.aix5.3.re

libc.a(shr.o) is needed by hobbit-client-4.2.0-7.aix5.3.re

they are all there, can anyone help with this?

Thanks in advance,

Why do you bother with the RPM? Wouldn't it be easier to compile it from
source?

That was my first impression, too. I tried to install a RPM for a
different package the other day and ended up pulling my hair out! Of
course, one needs to have a C compiler installed!

If you want a precompiled hobbit client:
http://www.docum.org/twiki/bin/view/Hobbit/HobbitClients

Untar and run :)

Also, if you *know* that all the dependencies are met, you can force it
to install... "rpm -i --nodeps <RPMFILE>"
