telnet service differences between hobbit and xymon
list Frank M. Ramaekers
My old hobbit reported telnet (which was in fact TN3270) just fine, but now xymon shows: Service telnet on mainframe is not OK : Service listening but unavailable (connect timeout) Is this a WAG or broken. (I don't see a configuration for tn3270 specifically.) Frank M. Are you testing this with the 'telnet' tag in your hosts.cfg?
What does the [telnet] section of your protocols.cfg contain?
Could it be xymonnet is being told to expect something your telent server is not returning?
