Hello,

on ALL my clients (openSUSE, ubuntu or centos) the bbd service is red
with the following error:

Service bbd on HOSTNAME is not OK : Service unavailable (Connection refused)

Other cells like conn, http, info, etc are ok and green.

I tried opening port 1984, but still red.

bbd entry in protocols.cfg
[bbd]
# send "ping"
# expect "xymond"
    send "dummy"
    port 1984

Best regards,
Robert

Hi Robert,

the bbd only runs on the xymon server itself so you'll just have to
remove the tag 'bbd' in hosts.cfg for every client and then remove the
test from the webpage as well with 'xymon localhost "drop
<CLIENTHOSTNAME> bbd"' or you could even remove ALL occurences of 'bbd'
in hosts.cfg since there is automagically an column 'xymond' (and other
xymon related columns) generated when you have 'BBDISPLAY', 'BBNET' and
'BBPAGER' in your hosts.cfg.

Regards
Torsten
