Modern MacOS Client
list Kris Springer
Hi all. I've completed my current journey of building a MacOS Xymon Client. The script and instructions can be found here. https://krisspringer.com/posts/xymon-client-for-macos.php I may package it up into a DMG download for easy clickable installation in the future. We'll see how it goes. Thanks to all the collaborators, Kris Springer

Hi Kris.
From the very interesting thread you triggered, I didn't understand the purpose was to create a client for Mac.
Why the burden of using powershell I may be biased against that family of shells), when ksh and bash are well integrated and available by default on Mac?
I recall running `configure && make` from the source package and using the result until not long ago, but ss you say, things may have changed since OSX 10.11

I tried today on Sonoma (14.5) and xymon-4.3.30, and I only had to add `#include <stdlib.h>` to `lib/suid.c`, then. run `./configure.client && make && make install`, to have data sent to my existing server.
Feel free to add it as an alternative to your instructions, if you deem it useful.
Nicola
