Hello, I think the problem if on that line :
Ignored PURPLE status update from xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx for host.domain.test
May be an external script is sending a purple status from that host which is not autorized. Only red, yellow, green or clear status are authorized. You should check your externals scripts this host. Etienne. 2007/1/2, Strandell, Ralf <user-c0435af0b547@xymon.invalid>:

check whether 'host.domain.test' is in your bb-hosts. If not, make them match by - change its entry in bb-hosts - Or, change on the client boxen, via CLIENTHOSTNAME= /etc/default/hobbit-client

Hi All, I got the proxy set-up between our site here and in Newbury but at 4:30 last night I got a call saying we were using a high level of bandwidth, the network team investigated and found hobbit to be using 50% of our 2mb connection, is this normal? How can I run tests etc. to see how the proxy is working and are there any settings I might alter to make it use less bandwidth? Thanks, Jason.

Please explain how you have set up your proxy. For instance, in your scenario, I would expect that the *only* things running (not marked as DISABLED in hobbitlaunch.cfg) on your "proxy" are the bbproxy and bbnet tasks. Depending on the values in hobbitserver.cfg (I think BBSERVERIP but I haven't
confirmed), this may be generating the traffic.
Do you really need the html pages to be available on this "proxy" server?

Buchan

Ideally yes, since we don't want to be dependent on the main server for monitoring our own site, the BBSERVERIP=137.202.205.54 (the proxies IP address). Thanks, Jason.
