Hi,

I'm trying to configure snmp in Xymon to monitor switches abd firewalls.
Tell me how to configure xymon for snmp?

Thanks,

Hi

Xymon doesn't have native support for SNMP. Instead, there are various
ways to integrate other SNMP collectors with Xymon. One of the more
popular is Devmon, which is designed to work with Xymon. Some use MRTG and
some type of "glue" to integrate the collected graphs into Xymon.

Some links to review:

http://devmon.sourceforge.net/
http://www.xymon.org/help/xymon-mrtg.html

Cheers

I just attempted to set up devmon and I find, per the install document a non-cpan perl module is needed, SNMP_Session. The docs refer to:

http://www.switch.ch/misc/leinen/snmp/perl/

but that returns 404. Any ideas?

You could try looking for a packaged version
(perl-SNMP_Session-1.12-4.el6.noarch.rpm for example)
Not much help if you need the source though (and the link in the RPM
goes to the same 404 destination)
