Exclude kernel from libs check

Hi,

is there a possibility to exclude the installed kernel from the "libs" check, at least temporarily? Due to a kernel bug, we're running the stable Debian Kernel right now, but the newer kernel from bullseye is also installed.

Error message in xymon:

Machine should be rebooted. Running not the newest installed kernel:

   Running kernel: 4.19.0-16-amd64, version #1 SMP Debian 4.19.181-1 (2021-03-19)
Newest installed kernel: 5.10.0-6-amd64, version #1 SMP Debian 5.10.28-1 (2021-04-09)

Is there an option to whitelist the kernel or bypass the kernel check temporarily without changing the plugins' code directly?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers

Hello Christoph,

I faced the same need, and I could not find anyway to disable this check. Hence I had to comment the code...

Hi, Damien,

thank you for your answer, I was afraid, this is the only option... :-/
Hopefully someone else can provide a better solution, let's see...

Cheers
Christoph

Christoph,

I don't think there is much to do in order to had this feature to
enable/disable kernel checks

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone still had the xymon nut scripts, because the download link [1] from the monitor website [2] is no longer available. The mentioned website is still available via the web archive [3], but the scripts are unfortunately not archived there.

Does anyone on here still have the script(s) and could provide them for me?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards
Christoph Zechner

See attached. I've never used them because APC UPS went to undocumented
closed source interface before I could get there.
