It has been some time, I know, but since I do not see any follow up with either http://logstash.net of the xymon list I ask this question. Has there been any progress in adopting your xymon/logstash-script part into the repository by the community? Does your adaptation still work just fine? We are in the midst of deploying the ELK-stack and we are using Xymon, so I am very curious. I'm working with logstash 1.4.2 and I've not seen it as an output. However, I'm glad you resurrected this thread as I was considering doing what Wilfrid referenced. It would be great if it were at least made available on Xymonton as an "Addon" or "Report". =G=

Hi Wilfrid, Thanks for your reaction. Sad to read that you do not use Xymon anymore; but we at the office do. I'm currently in the midst of a deployment of the ELK-stack (elasticsearch, logstash, kibana) for production _AND_ I still use Xymon (fortunately). I believe the two products are complementary. We have a ELK-Development Support contract for three months. I took the liberty of asking them, by referring to your pastebin-code, about a Xymon-output filter. The assigned developer is very helpful on how to implement the plug-in into logstash and integrate this into our Xymon implementation. The source code alone left me with some questions, sorry... When this is implemented and works fine, I will document all this in Xymonton. Hopefully with your permission & help. regards, Peter http://peterwelterplatz.blogspot.com/ 2015-04-16 8:59 GMT+02:00 wbeauchaine <user-ee69b0db7015@xymon.invalid>:
