Conn is a ping test - it pings your host (with one of two utilities). Example: 192.168.1.1 <http://192.168.1.1> myrouter.domain.tld # This will ping 192.168.1.1 <http://192.168.1.1> on every poll cycle and report to you via the web pages and email alerts if you've configured that in hobbit-alert.cfg
That means it does just a ping & if the ping doesn't not reply, it will display an RED alert ? And if the ping make 200ms or 2000ms or 15000ms to answer ? Thanks you

You may have to PURCHASE a tool if you want something to monitor ping response times, which are notoriously unreliable as an indicator of anything. GLH

I'm not sure on the values, but it will go green with a response, yellow with packet loss (not delays, just lost packets) and red when there is no response after a few packets lost.

Michael, I looked around on the Shire and I do not see anything that works with Smokeping. Can you possibly get a link for us? I'd be interested in having Smokeping work with Hobbit for better troubleshooting purposes! Josh
