Editing Critical Systems doesn't save the new hosts?

Hi All, I'd like to set up a few Critical Systems. I'm using the "Edit critical systems" (hobbit-nkedit.sh) on the hobbit servers webpage. After logging in, I fill in all the fields (except for the cloning part) and click the "Update record" button. The page quickly refreshes, but the host I've just added, isn't saved in the Critical Systems view. I've searched the hobbit log files and the apache logfiles, but I can't find an error anywhere. This is a new install (v4.2.0). According to the manuals, I should use this new way of editing Critical Systems (instead of the NK tags) cause in a future release of Hobbit the old style isn't supported anymore. Can anyone tell where I haven't looked yet? Thanks in advance! Dennis

The "Edit Critical Systems" page modifies the hobbit-nkview.cfg file. The man pages say not to edit this file directly, though it can be handy to view the file to see how your changes got made. I've found that the host names are whitespace-specific, so if you have a trailing space after the host, that is treated as part of the host name.

One thing to check is the permissions and ownership of ~hobbit/server/etc/hobbit-nkview.cfg. The web user or group needs rw permissions to it. My hobbit directory and nkview files are set up like this: drwxrwxr-x 5 root hobbit 4096 Mar 21 09:54 hobbit/ -rw-rw-r-- 1 hobbit www 694 Mar 15 12:18 hobbit-nkview.cfg -rw-rw-r-- 1 hobbit www 612 Mar 15 12:18 hobbit-nkview.cfg.bak
