Hi

I have a graph showing average service times on SAN disks and it needs updating every minute rather then, the default 5 minutes.

I had a stab at modifying the rrddefinitions.cfg file and adding this section :-

[diskstat/60]
        RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:5:576
        RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:30:576
        RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:120:576
        RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:1440:576

My ext script is called diskstat and sends data to the xymon server every minute but the graph is only updating every 5

-rw-r----- 1 xymon xymon 19552 Aug 10 10:16 diskstat-svct,sd580.rrd
-rw-r----- 1 xymon xymon 19552 Aug 10 10:23 diskstat-svct,sd581.rrd
-rw-r----- 1 xymon xymon 19552 Aug 10 10:22 diskstat-svct,sd582.rrd
-rw-r----- 1 xymon xymon 19552 Aug 10 10:24 diskstat-svct,sd583.rrd
-rw-r----- 1 xymon xymon 19552 Aug 10 10:23 diskstat-svct,sd584.rrd

Any help would be appreciated

Did you delete the existing RRD-files and restart Xymon after that ?

The settings from rrddefinitions.cfg are applied when the rrd file is
initially created, so if you have an existing RRD file it will not have
any effect.

The step will still be 5 minutes though, not allowing it to be updated every minute. Unless I'm misunderstanding.
