I cannot get our XYMON to send any emails alerts from hosts that we are monitoring. Please send a more detailed example of hobbit-alertscfg setup. Is there something I'm missing in another config file??? Scott A. Zboch X-XXX-XXX-XXXX

So this says:
For hosts in the group $HG-PRIMARY, if there is a test with a red condition, that isn't one of the tests in EXSERVICE, and it has been red for 7 minutes:
1) Email the users in $NG-IM-ADMIN, and also send and email when the test recovers to green
2) Send email in SMS format to $NG-IM-ONCALL and keep sending every 20 minutes until the test recovers to green.

We have created a script that reads a power meter. And we send the data to Xymon using NCV. We are sending 63 data points, some gauge and some derive. The rrd file is being created and if we do a rrdtool dump of the file it shows the data in the last_ds line, but the data is never stored in the database rows. Any ideas what might be the issue? Xymon simply runs the MUA installed on the Xymon server (mail, mailc, nail, etc). It doesn't queue any messages. Try running "mailq" to see if they're queued in the MTA's queue. For "postfix" you can run "postsuper -d <queueID>" to remove a single message, or "postsuper -d ALL" to remove all messages in the queue.
