I'm sorry, I know longer have the exact configs (Nor will I be able to get
them), but I used devmon + hobbit to monitor these a while ago. You can get
the MIBs from ironport's support site. Devmon worked fantastically well and
it was really only about 4 things I had to put into place to get it running.

I've got four of them. Haven't figured out how to integrate them yet, however.

Yes, but merely the smtp port. The onboard e-mail alerts work well for
application issues, you could configure remote logging to a Hobbit client
machine and monitor the logs, but the devmon SNMP suggestion sounds most
robust. I sure wouldn't try hacking Hobbit client into AsyncOS.

We wget the status page in a perl script and parse that for specific
metrics like status, queue size, top domains, etc.

Has anyone tried enabling SNMP and setting up triggers? Also, just curious what model everyone else has incase I feel the power to script one. I'm using C150.

I've added an initial devmon template:

http://devmon.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/devmon/trunk/templates/ironport-asyncos/

See the readme for info:
