I'm getting a bunch of core files in my ~/hobbit/server directory. Here's an example:

bash-2.05b$ file core.3770
core.3770: ELF 32-bit LSB core file Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), SVR4-style, from 'hobbitd_larrd'

I wasn't seeing these before I upgraded to RC3.

 From hobbitd.log:

I get these too now (I didn't when I did the trial-run last night
before publishing RC3). Sorry about that ...

Something's up with the changes I did with RC3 to make hobbitd_larrd
pick up the bb-services file. I'll send out a fix later today.

At least it shows my bug-detection code is working :-/

That's OK, it's an RC. This kind of stuff happens.

I've also found that my hobbit-alerts settings aren't working like I
expect. When I dump the config file (was trying to understand why the
repeat setting display in "info" didn't match what I had in
hobbit-alerts.cfg) I see a bunch of messages like this:

2005-02-23 10:32:14 Ignoring MAIL with no recipient at line 134
2005-02-23 10:32:14 Ignoring MAIL with no recipient at line 136

2005-02-23 10:32:14 Ignoring MAIL with no recipient at line 141

The alert lines I'm using look like this:
         MAIL user-79c60ed6f789@xymon.invalid SERVICE=memory,disk COLOR=yellow
DURATION>10 REPEAT=2h

Hey folks,

This might well be an easy one, and not likely a bug... I keep
getting a yellow status on hobbitd. Can someone tell me what might eb
causing the yellow on this page?

I think it's the bug that is causing hobbitd_larrd to crash
repeatedly.

A co-worker uses this BB feature.

./bb $BBDSIP "notes ..."

Is this not available in Hobbit (the sending of notes, NOT status)? Since I don't use it myself, I am not sure if something else replaces it or would be a better fit.

It's available, but not enabled by default. Edit your hobbitlaunch.cfg
file and enable the "[bbnotes]" task.

You need to enable bbnotes in hobbitlaunch.cfg.

Thanks,
