Can you compile the Xymon client on it?

If so you can easily get this:

That looks good but I was more hoping for a external program. Is there any such programme.
Thanks

Can someone please point me in the direction of how to use the ifstat and enable it on clients to report back to the main hobbit server.
Thanks

You're asking how to monitor a remote interface?

You could put a Mikrotik and bridge two interfaces.

Not sure what else can be offered on the xymon list.

MRTG is designed to do just that, and does it well. bbmrtg.pl can integrate
the mrtg graphs into xymon

Some on this group will recommend devmon. I've not used it so can't vouch
for its fitness.

If you have 'sar' on the system, that'll give you transmit/receive
bytes/packets per second. Failing that, you can use 'ifconfig'. In either
case, you'll need to write a script to capture the output and extract the
interface(s) information to forward to your Xymon server. On the server
side, you'll need to set up ncv to capture the information for graphing.
