host doesn't report http

I have two hosts : XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX www # trace http://www XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX www2 # trace http://www ...and only one of them is reporting http. The only difference is the name "www2". The IPs and configs are the same. I have looked everywhere I can think and was hoping for ideas. / Troy -- This communication is intended for the use of the recipient to whom it is addressed, and may contain confidential, personal, and or privileged information. Sorry, I'm confused. You said you had two hosts, but you said the IP addresses are the same. How can that be?

They are the same physical host but I have two different config lines. One line is for "www" and the other is for "www2" . Does that help? cheers, Troy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeremy Laidman" <user-71895fb2e44c@xymon.invalid> To: "Troy Adams" <user-81e3256385bc@xymon.invalid> Cc: "xymon" <xymon at xymon.com> Sent: Wednesday, September 18, 2013 11:54:39 PM GMT -07:00 US/Canada Mountain Subject: Re: [Xymon] host doesn't report http

What are you trying to accomplish? 1 IP = 1 host name in Xymon. Man hosts.cfg or view the Help menu on the Xymon GUI. ~David

Are you saying that you have two physical interfaces for one machine, and they each have a different IP address? Are they the same network? Or are you saying you have a virtual host web site on the same machine. The example you show, you use the same URL for the test. Did you mean http://www2 on the second line?
