Hobbit Fetch

I am working with the hobbitfetch program. It seems to be working from on the clients. I can run the bb IP "pullclient" command from my hobbit server and I get the data back just fine. Also when I look at the client logs and tmp directory I see things updating normally. The issue I have is I don't see any of the data updating on the Web pages. I have updated the bb-hosts file to have the pulldata tag. What am I missing? Here is what I have in my bb-hosts file, I do have the IP's listed just can't send then out. Display results in another HTML page page cmcrdu CMC Servers group-compress <H3><I>CMC Servers</I></H3> xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx du04-vip # ssh trace xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx du05a # conn disk memory cpu ssh pulldata thank you Mark

Am I supposed to run a client instance and server instance on the "server" at the same time? Richard

Yes. The "client" measure CPU, memory, disk, etc. The server receives all that.

Have you enabled the hobbitfetch task in hobbitlaunch.cfg on your Hobbit server ? Regards, Buchan -- Buchan Milne ISP Systems Specialist - Monitoring/Authentication Team Leader B.Eng,RHCE(803004789010797),LPIC-2(LPI000074592)

Am I supposed to run a client instance and server instance on the
“server” at the same time?...but be careful - don't start a seperate client instance, the server starts one. If you mean, "should i see a client running on my server," then yes. If you mean "should i crank up a seperate client install on my already-running server," then no. -- Rob Munsch Solutions For Progress IT www.solutionsforprogress.com

Hi all, Does anyone have a small how-to on getting bbproxy to work, I have figured out most of the basics but have run into two problems, first the proxy servers webpage is now frozen, which I don't want to happen and second the ping, http, ftp etc. tests on the main server are purple, all other tests are as they should be. Thanks for any and all help, Jason.

Describe how you have set up the proxy, as that might help understand why this is happening. Regards, Buchan -- Buchan Milne ISP Systems Specialist - Monitoring/Authentication Team Leader B.Eng,RHCE(803004789010797),LPIC-2(LPI000074592)
