The article states "You can’t get Xymon from your base repository or Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux (EPEL) repository, but the project maintains its own repo." Who exactly is responsible for the Xymon RPMs on http://terabithia.org/rpms/xymon/ ? Steve

Navigating to http://terabithia.org takes you to http://www.linkedin.com/in/japhethcleaver - maybe him? Malcolm -- BBWin Development - The Windows client for Big Brother and Xymon http://bbwin.sourceforge.net http://xymon.sourceforge.net

It's abit of a badly worded article then given that "the project" which in the context it reads is "the Xymon project" is not the one maintaining the repo. Steve

Wow. Yeah, I think the author may have been confused a bit... I've posted a link there before, but that is NOT an official repo for Xymon (for anyone following along)! I've been using BB/Hobbit/Xymon for a long time at different places of employment -- those are the RPMs I've used (and use) personally, not anything supported by the project. There's still work that has to happen on the xymon-devel list to unify the packages that a couple of different people have been making. I've added a small header to that directory index clarifying that. Regards, -jc
