ftp silent test
list Vozza Damiano
Hi, on some host I use the ftp:s (silent test) tag and the response is ALWAYS of this type: service ftp on host_name is not OK : Unexpected service response Seconds: 0.00 with yellow status. Instead ftp tests report "correct" situation. Can you tell me if this is the normal behaviour for ftp:s test? Could you try running (as the hobbit user)
bbcmd bbtest-net --debug FTP.SERVER.HOSTNAME
and send me the output ?

I send the output to you. But I make some mistake, because when i launch the command bbcmd bbtest-net --debug server_name the hobbit ftp test page becomes immediately green(?)

I've been able to recreate the problem here, so I'll see if I can find a solution soon. Regards, Henrik

While running 4.2.3 on Mac os x ppc, I am seeing the same thing. Is there a fix or workaround? note: I get a momentary green whether or not I use the --debug flag. - *To*: user-ae9b8668bcde@xymon.invalid - *Subject*: Re: [hobbit] R: [hobbit] ftp silent test - *From*: user-ce4a2c883f75@xymon.invalid (Henrik Stoerner) - *Date*: Mon, 21 Nov 2005 12:00:41 +0100 - *References*: < user-1a0bef47d6bd@xymon.invalid<http://www.hswn.dk/hobbiton/2005/11/msg00288.html>;
