Hello,

the client cannot work as standalone.
you need at least a server, and the server comes with a client.

you should grab the packages from the sourceforge repository, install it on your server and see what you can do from here.

the docs comes with the software, but you can also find them at henrik's site http://www.hswn.dk

Hello,

the client cannot work as standalone.
you need at least a server, and the server comes with a client.

There are known problems with communication between the vmware guest and
the 
vmware host.  I have to execute
ethtool -K eth0 tx off
before I can communicate between the vmware guest on my laptop and my
laptop.  
Maybe this can help.

No such luck with that. Is there anything else that we can try the

error is Operation not supported and not setting speed duplex autoneg.

AFAICS it must be the includes in hobbitserver.cfg that causes the problem...

Hmm...  I can run bbgen -ignorecolumns=msgs and my display will change
for a minute or so, with no msgs column, and then when hobbit refreshes
itself it reverts back and displays the msgs column again.

 
Can anyone tell me why this behavior is happening?  Is there a file or
record elsewhere that hobbit is reading?

Maybe I am misunderstanding the use of bbgen?  I assume it is supposed
to modify my existing web pages displayed?  I've tried the ignorecolumns
and nopropred options but no result.  Can anyone help?

Can anyone tell me why this behavior is happening?  Is there a file or

Hmm...  I can run bbgen -ignorecolumns=msgs and my display will change for a minute or so, with no msgs column, and then when hobbit refreshes itself it reverts back and displays the msgs column again.

It sounds like you check is not running automatically.
Are you running a client on the host or are you only doing network
checks?
When you run the check manually are you using the exact same hostname
that is specified in bb-hosts?
What does ghost  clients say from the reports menu?
