Could you use your phone's web browser or email just like you would with a
computer? What kind of phone capabilities do you have?

Some folks have set up WAP interfaces for Hobbit, but this all depends
on your infrastructure, security policies, and tolerance for risk. I
think you can reply to the email notification, but that will only work
if your Hobbit server is sending mail with a valid "reply-to" address
that will work from your phone.

I do have WAP for mine but since we all have our computers looking at it
there is a way to see it in HTML. For example, m.hobbit.foo.bar could be
WAP while hobbit.foo.bar for HTML. When you're on your phone, use
m.hobbit.foo.bar for the most part and hobbit.foo.bar to acknowledge
something. Note this will require a browse with javascript support or a
bookmark to the URL hobbit.foo.bar/hobbit-seccgi/bb-ack.sh ).

Then you can use the hobbit-mailack tool. See hobbit-mailack(8)
or

Wireless Application Protocol, a (mostly failed) attempt at
making web pages that were designed for small screens like
those found on cell phones.

Wouldn't know, haven't used sendmail in ages. I'd suspect that it
would be easiest to setup procmail to do the mailack stuff, as
described in the man-page.
