Hi. We want to monitor some log files on Windows (not Event log) and need to create a script for that. But before I start digging into powershell, I would like to check if someone has created a logfile monitoring script for BBWin and would like to share it? Best regards, Johan

You might check Microsoft Log parser. You can download it from here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=890cd06b-abf8-4c25-91b2-f8d975cf8c07&displaylang=en This Microsoft support article gives an example of its usage: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910447 If you want to script the included logparser.dll check these out: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee332544.aspx http://blogs.technet.com/b/mscom/archive/2006/10/25/yes-we-recycle-that-includes-apppools.aspx You can use it on pretty much any text file and even the Windows event logs themselves. Use your favorite Internet search engine and you will find volumes of information on this very useful tool.
