White holes in xymon graphs

Hi, can anyone explain those (white) blackouts in the attached xymon graph? I see no messages neither in the client nor in the server logs. Those blackouts happen at different times:The duration is ~ 10 minutes = 2 intervalls? Any hints? hjb [Anhang "hobbithole2.pdf" gelöscht von Hermann-Josef Beckers/Kreis-Steinfurt]

This is the same thing I have been getting except my holes are only for one 5 minute interval and then repeats exactly 1 hour later, 2 hours later and sometimes 3 hours later. No messages, and other trending do not show any issue. Are you running the 4.3.0 beta 2 version? Tom

I've seen random holes caused by data being sent to the server twice (happends if you interconnect multiple hobbit servers), but these leave messages in rrd-status.log like "illegal update, minimum update delay is 1 second". Is the data really sent every 5 minutes? It could be delayed by some (other) cronjob, and then get associated to the wrong time slot. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, i have those too and I'm running 4.2.0 on Debian built from source. And the holes in trends match more or less exactly the time the server was offline and/or rebooted. Maybe this gives you a point where you can start your investigations. Cheers Torsten

I too have seen these white holes and have not figured out a pattern. I was getting errors in my rrd-status log about the time used to updates items, but for some reason that message stopped 15 days ago. I am running 4.3.0-0.beta2
