Hello Everyone !
I have recently setup a Hobbit/Xymon server and went beyond monitoring just CONN and have ensured DNS, LDAP, RDP, SSH, MYSQL, Squid, and VMWARE are also monitored. To my odd surprise these added services for Hobbit/Xymon were going into red and back into green very quickly and about every 3 minutes. When I see the red alerts and click on the specific monitored host and corresponding service, it says it's UP and it's OK but the uptime has reset.
I'm basically running the default config out of a fresh install, what could be causing this? I do not believe the connections are actually down.
Running on UBUNTU 10.04 with Apache
Server version: Apache/2.2.14 (Ubuntu)
Server built: Apr 13 2010 20:22:19

Attached are screenshots.
Thanks,

-Steven

I just set the timeout to 20 seconds, this may help? I'll see.

Yes, this has appeared to fix my issue of alarms going into false alarm.
Hurray :) I love solving my own troubles.
