Tru64 Client Install
list Tom Callahan
I'm having some problems with a Tru64 install of the bb client. Has anyone successfully installed the client on a Tru64 Unix system? Thanks, Tom Callahan

Tom, We have successfully installed the client on Tru64 4.0d, 5.1b, and another version that I am not sure of. We didn't do anything abnormal from our AIX or Linux servers on the compile of the bbclient. What errors are you seeing? Not likely. It's BSD specific. What I'd really like is a bbcentral style monitoring tool. I'm going to have to monitor process states in about 60 Tru64 machines in the very near future. I know someone was working on an alpha of hobbitcentral. Has it progress to the point that other people can start work on the beta? -- Daniel J McDonald, CCIE # 2495, CNX Austin Energy user-290ce4e24e19@xymon.invalid

When I run ./bbconfig, it detects the os as "osf1" and then tells me to manually configure/compile. That I have done, but none of my RRD graphs are showing up, except conn. For instance, I'm using the netstat "plugin" and I get the data part back, but no graph. Thanks, Tom Callahan

Hobbit doesn't know what the OSF netstat output looks like, so it won't generate a netstat graph for reports from that kind of system. You should see some errors in the /var/log/hobbit/larrd*.log file: Cannot grok osf netstat from host foo If you can send me a copy of the netstat output from one of these boxes, I can probably make it work fairly easily. It's the output from "/usr/sbin/netstat -s" I'm interested in. -- Henrik Storner
