Hi Kris,
you can do this by modifying the XYMONGENOPTS in xymonserver.cfg and add
a time to the parameter "--recentgifs" like --recentgifs=10 (for 10
minutes) or --recentgifs=1h (for 1 hour).
It's also described in the man page of xymongen.
