Hobbit client w/ BB server

Will this work? We will be migrating to hobbit, but they want to roll out a few more clients. I'd like to keep them from having to do another install on the box. Stewart

It won't work. (smells like a FAQ :)) -- Charles Goyard - user-98f9625a7a59@xymon.invalid - (+33) 1 45 38 01 31

No, because the hobbit client does not tells the server if something is wrong : it barely sends the output of commands, and the server qualifies the alerts. That's very powerful. -- Charles Goyard - user-98f9625a7a59@xymon.invalid - (+33) 1 45 38 01 31

We use several Hobbit clients with our BB server. It does work. I have a very short writeup on how it is set up in case anyone is interested, but all the necessary information is included in the documentation. Ulric
