interpretation of status/colour for combo test
list Buchan Milne
I have been asked to provide an availability number for a number of services monitored as separate hosts with Hobbit. Eg, two different IP addresses running a few different services, and we need to provide an availability number for the combination (eg, when was everything working correctly).
I have set up a rule in bbcombotest.cfg, but according to the man page, green, yellow or clear result in 1 ("true"), and red, purple or blue result in 0 ("false").
However, I would like the combined service to appear "down" when one of the monitored services is yellow (eg smtp being yellow indicates a failure).
It would be nice if some of this were configurable, or if each state had a distinct value.
Regards,
Buchan

What's wrong with using an availability report for this? Jason.
