Ghost Clients report

Hi all, looking at "Ghost Clients" report page I have: Hostname Sent from Report age Connected 10.28.64.54 0:49 Florence 10.28.64.54 0:49 flrwscrd9.flr.gilbarco.com 10.28.66.17 0:22 INTERNAL 10.28.64.54 0:50 Link 10.28.64.54 0:49 Outside 10.28.64.54 0:49 Tunnel 10.28.64.54 0:49 Uplink 10.28.64.54 0:49 where flrwscrd9 is the only "real ghost" client. It looks like you have a buggy extension script on your hobbit server that sends "connected", "INTERNAL", "Outside" etc... as an hostname. -- Charles Goyard - user-98f9625a7a59@xymon.invalid - (+33) 1 45 38 01 31

Got MRTG or something like that running on your Hobbit server, or are you using some old BB code? Just guessing, it looks like something is posting a message without a server name, or possibly with a null string in a script that SHOULD have a server name in it, and Hobbit is trying to make the best of it. As I said, just guessing! I rarely get ghost messages, but isn't there a way to see what was sent and associated with the ghost? My memory is fuzzy on that. GLH
