Hi,

First thanks for an excellent product - we think its a fantastic thing to give us a "heads up" to potential problems.

I have just moved from Hobbit 4.2.0 to Xymon 4.3.0-0.beta2 and simply moved across the bb-hosts file from the hobbit to the xymon directory (both installed on the same server) and found that although everything is working fine the comments field seems to being ignored by xymon. Here is a fragment of our bb-hosts:

group Netware Servers
10.182.186.5 wigan.xsheffield.nhs.uk # COMMENT:"West Court Site Server"

This appears on xymon's webpage as:
wigan.xsheffield.nhs.uk	conn:green:19h33m info:green:........

I cant find anything in hobbitserver.cfg (or indeed in bbgen) to turn on or off comments processing so I was wondering if it was a bug?

Interestingly on your webpage's example bb-hosts you have this line:
group-compress Wireless
172.16.11.1 wifi.hswn.dk # COMMENT:"Wi-Fi router" nobb2
and again on the actual web page (http://www.hswn.dk/hobbit/services/services.html) no comment is displayed.

Thanks

Jan

Check the bbdisplay stanza in hobbitlaunch.cfg for the --tooltips
parameter (always | never)

It seems to me that the comment allows you to change the tooltip when you hover over the hostname.

Malcolm
