After the above update, my apache errorlog gets filled with the following errors, only from svcstatus.sh/cgi: [Wed Sep 04 11:29:12 2013] [error] [client aa.bb.64.158] 2013-09-04 11:29:12 Sendto failed: Connection refused, referer: http://lscopy02.domain.name/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=vsr101.domain.name&SERVICE=cpu [Wed Sep 04 11:29:12 2013] [error] [client aa.bb.64.158] 2013-09-04 11:29:12 Sendto failed: Connection refused, referer: http://lscopy02.domain.name/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=vsr101.domain.name&SERVICE=cpu [Wed Sep 04 11:29:12 2013] [error] [client aa.bb.64.158] 2013-09-04 11:29:12 Sendto failed: Connection refused, referer: http://lscopy02.domain.name/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=vsr101.domain.name&SERVICE=cpu [Wed Sep 04 11:29:12 2013] [error] [client aa.bb.64.158] 2013-09-04 11:29:12 Sendto failed: Connection refused, referer: http://lscopy02.domain.name/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=vsr101.domain.name&SERVICE=cpu [Wed Sep 04 11:29:12 2013] [error] [client aa.bb.64.158] 2013-09-04 11:29:12 Sendto failed: Connection refused, referer: http://lscopy02.domain.name/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=vsr101.domain.name&SERVICE=cpu [Wed Sep 04 11:29:12 2013] [error] [client aa.bb.64.158] 2013-09-04 11:29:12 Sendto failed: Connection refused, referer: http://lscopy02.domain.name/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=vsr101.domain.name&SERVICE=cpu [Wed Sep 04 11:29:12 2013] [error] [client aa.bb.64.158] 2013-09-04 11:29:12 Sendto failed: Connection refused, referer: http://lscopy02.domain.name/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=vsr101.domain.name&SERVICE=cpu [Wed Sep 04 11:29:12 2013] [error] [client aa.bb.64.158] 2013-09-04 11:29:12 Sendto failed: Connection refused, referer: http://lscopy02.domain.name/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=vsr101.domain.name&SERVICE=cpu [Wed Sep 04 11:29:12 2013] [error] [client aa.bb.64.158] 2013-09-04 11:29:12 Sendto failed: Connection refused, referer: http://lscopy02.domain.name/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=vsr101.domain.name&SERVICE=cpu [Wed Sep 04 11:29:12 2013] [error] [client aa.bb.64.158] 2013-09-04 11:29:12 Sendto failed: Connection refused, referer: http://lscopy02.domain.name/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=vsr101.domain.name&SERVICE=cpu [Wed Sep 04 11:29:12 2013] [error] [client aa.bb.64.158] 2013-09-04 11:29:12 Sendto failed: Connection refused, referer: http://lscopy02.domain.name/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=vsr101.domain.name&SERVICE=cpu [Wed Sep 04 11:29:12 2013] [error] [client aa.bb.64.158] 2013-09-04 11:29:12 Sendto failed: Connection refused, referer: http://lscopy02.domain.name/xymon-cgi/svcstatus.sh?HOST=vsr101.domain.name&SERVICE=cpu As can be seen, there are a lot of errors, above lines all from the same second. But as I can tell, all data arrive/are send. Any hints? Yours Hermann-Josef Beckers

This is often the result of rrdctl socket files lying around. Check the server log dir (or run dir) for rrdctl's that don't correspond to current xymond_rrd PIDs and remove them. HTH, -jc Sent from my iPad
