how can i include multiple files into one

A While back i had a problem with my conn test.  If I run ../bin/bbtest-net --debug --report --ping --no-ares <ip number> I get a ok response.  But If allow the test to run as part of the hobbit batch it fails on Not ok.  The hobbit launch file is specified correctly.  
Can someone maybe give me some advice for what could be happening.

Wed Jul 29 10:23:20 2009 conn NOT ok 
Service conn on <ip number> is not OK : Host does not respond to ping


System unreachable for 2238 poll periods (676768 seconds)

 <ip number> is unreachable
