BigBrother scripts with Hobbit Client?

Hello,

We've running a Hobbit server, but still mostly BigBrother clients on
our Linux servers. I love the features of the Hobbit client compared
to BB, but I'm hesitant to switch because of the number of BB scripts
we use.

For example, we use bb-raid.sh to monitor our RAID controller and
openmanage.sh to monitor our Dell hardware. Both were provided from
Deadcat. Should these scripts work under the Hobbit client? If not,
are there any tips on how to retrofit them?

Thanks
Shane

Client-side scripts usually work without modifications when you run them
from the Hobbit client launcher (by adding them to clientlaunch.cfg).

Hobbit provides the same run-time environment for extension scripts
as BB does. I have seen a script or two which assumed certain files from
the BB client were present - e.g. calling "/usr/local/bb/bin/bb" instead
of using the "$BB" environment variable - but 99% of the script's are
well-behaved and work without any modifications.

Henrik

Excellent! I just tested the first BigBrother client-side script on
Hobbit, and you were correct of course -- it worked perfectly without
modification!

Thanks
