You can do this in your alerts.cfg rule set. Make two rules for conn. One rule notifies you immediately and applies during waking hours; the other notifies after a delay during off hours. Same time format rules as DOWNTIME but applied on the rules.
We've stopped using DOWNTIME and use rules for no alerting during the maintenance window instead, because it lets the person doing maintenance watch the board and see if their work is causing problems.

Occasionally we have servers that miss a ping at night - probably due to backups going over production network (there are a few). I want to not get emailed on the first bad ping - be really bad before you wake me up - say between midnight and 6am. But it is not DOWNTIME as in never tell me. Can I do this? Can I say delayed red between specific hours. For now I just delayed the whole thing.
