bad magic number 🔗 link

I'm trying to install hobbit client 4.2.0 onto an hpux 11.23 server. I got
the ./configure.client script to work but when I run gmake I get the
following error:

 
/usr/lib/dld.sl: Bad magic number for shared library:
/usr/local/lib/libiconv.sl

/usr/lib/dld.sl: Exec format error

 
Any ideas.
