Hi,

I am running the hobbit-4.2-beta server on AIX 5.2 and hobbitping does not
work. fping works fine.

No clues in bb-network.log - just host does not respond.

hobbit) time fping 10.2.216.252
10.2.216.252 is alive

real 0m0.02s
user 0m0.00s
sys 0m0.01s

hobbit) time /usr/local/hobbit/server/bin/hobbitping 10.2.216.252
10.2.216.252 is unreachable

real 0m17.11s
user 0m0.00s
sys 0m0.00s

Any ideas how I can get more debug information??

Thanks,

Chris

You'renot alone and maybe hobbitping does work sometimes!
IM having intermitted problem with hobbitping! Look like sometimes it return "is unreachable" . Once I changed back to fping
the "waves" of conn failures stopped.
Solaris 9 .

that's odd. I'd like to dig into this a bit more.

Could you try and apply the patch at
  http://www.hswn.dk/~henrik/hobbitping-debug.patch
to your Hobbit sources, and then run the new hobbitping
with the --debug flag ?

It won't change the behaviour, but it will print out some info
about the packets being sent and received.

Thanks,
Henrik
