test files is white

Hi, I got 2 xymon servers. One is running version 4.2.3 (i'll call this server 'old') and the other running 4.3.0 beta3 (called 'new'). On the 'new' server, a client with same version is running and reports its status to both 'old' and 'new'. Everything runs fine but the files test status is ever white on 'new', even if the test report errors. On 'old' the status is OK and color changes when according results. What can make this behaviour ?

Since a view days, our Xymon 4.2.3 pages are extreme slow. I cannot find the reason. I didn't change anything the last 3 month. Also a Xymon restart, or even full reboot doesn't change anything. Server CPU is just used about 1.6% and also not swapping memory at all. All other daemon running well and without any trouble. Any hint? Maik

If "slow" means retrieving a page in a browser, or painting the screen for a page, I'd suspect network issues. Do you have the ability to run a browser on a physical console on the server and access http://localhost:/xymon/? In addition to network congestion, look for things like the switch link having gone to half-duplex, etc.

I found the reason, why our Xymon server is slow. Our primary DNS server didn't work correctly. Sorry for such a stupid mail to mailinglist. Maik

You haven't defined any FILE tests in the analysis.cfg file on the new server. Regards, Henrik

Hi, Happy new year ! On both servers I defined test file for each. When do go the webpages for the "files" test, everything is ok, i can see the tested files and statuses, with good colors. but when viewing from the main view (with all tests) the files icon is white. i tried to purge cache on my browsers, with no effect. i can attach screenshots if needed.

I found the reason. Someone changed rights on ~xymon/server/www and xymon had no write rights on it. It's corrected now
