Hi,

I've been playing with Bbwin and reading the help file, but can not
figure out how to make it set uptime to red if the machine has been up
too long. Any ideas?

Thanks, Larry

You could try a wrapper script, and have the script set the color to
"red" if uptime is > a set value.

It is not possible natively at the moment in the uptime agent. I
didn't thougt it was useful to implement it for a Windows server :-)

We use bbwin to monitor our desktops, which need to be rebooted
periodically to ensure that the software on the client is up-to-date.
I'm not sure why a reboot is needed to do this (I'm a unix guy), but
that is the new policy that has been put into place....

Thanks for the response...

Hi Larry,

I have a vbs script that works with bbwin that you can use to alert when
a client exceeds a specified number of days without a restart.
Let me know if you would like a copy and I can email it to you.

Craig,

Got your script of Galen's web site. Thanks much, it works perfectly.
Another win for Hobbit!
