What are the advantages of Hobbit over Big Sister 🔗 link

The company I work for wants to centralize network monitoring without
spending much.  What are the advantages of Hobbit over Big Sister?

Hobbit works very well "out-of-the-box."  Last time I messed with Big
Sister it seemed half-baked.

The biggest is that active development and bug fixing are occurring for
hobbit.  Big sister has pretty much died from that point of view.

AFAIK, big sister was a perl implementation/rewriting of big brother.

hobbit is compiled, so it definitely runs faster than the interpreted big sister.

but I hope you could get some interesting answer from the big sister mailing list.
