BTW, the htdig search engine on the email archive
(http://www.hswn.dk/hobbiton/) doesn't seem to be updated; can't search
on newer messages from sometime in 2005 to the present.

Oops - thanks for noticing and letting me know. Seems some Debian
update from a long time ago made htdig cease updating the search DB.
I think I've convinced it to do that now.
