I'm having an odd problem with my client tests. I am using the same client, built and tarred for each of my OS versions, and then tarred out and started on each of my servers. I'm just using the default reports (cpu, disk etc). Some of my servers are reporting fine, but others are not reporting at all. I have confirmed that I can telnet to port 1984 on my xymon server from all of these servers. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to troubleshoot this?

Have you checked the 'Ghost Clients' section of 'Reports' in the web interface?

I hadn't but I think that just showed me the problem - the client is sending the fully qualified names and I just have the short names in my hosts.cfg. thanks for the tip.
