Hello,

When a red alert happens, then goes to yellow, then finally to green, there
is no recovered notification.

Is there a way to have a notification for this case please?

Thanks.
Cheers,
Nico

Long time issue. You can find a little on it if you Google. My
analysis can be seen in this post

There is AFAIK no current solution for the problem.

Did you set RECOVERED in hobbit-alerts.cfg?

I know it alerts me when I go from green to red. Not sure about yellow to
red, though.

Alan is correct. Unless you have alerting configured for yellow as well ...
it if goes from red to yellow to green, you will not get a recovered
notification. There is no solution I am aware of other than adding in yellow
alerts. Thanks.

Correct. However, if you do that, you live with getting paged on yellow
alerts, not just recoveries.

Agreed. Unless you create a custom alert email script (in whatever language
you wish) and then use a conditional statement not to send emails on yellow.
As far as Hobbit would know ... it alerted on yellow but that doesn't mean
you have to receive an email on it :)

Just a thought if you wanted to try it.

Geoff.
