I am unable to fin dbb-hostedit on deadcat and googling finds some
discussion about it, but I can't find where to download it. Is it still
available?

file is maintained mostly by the (non-unix-savvy) staff here, using the bb-hostedit CGI script, and I'd rather not have them have to keep track of which host needed which NET tag, etc.

Its here along with some other useful utils.

I think I edited it for group-except or one of the others as it didn't
work correctly otherwise when there tags were present. It doesn't like
comments either.

Hope this helps!

If you send me patches I'll merge them into the code. :)

The comments, well, yeah. I spose I could make it comment-friendly,
but jeez, who uses comments. I mean, really? ;)

Erm, it wasn't so much as a patch as a botch so it wouldn't complain on
seeing group-except. I didn't add it as a separate option as there is
for group-only. I probably should do this properly sometime although its
quite low on my list until I get a windows only admin wanting to use it.
Mine doesn't actually have any comments in it but you're readme about
bb-hostedit does say it would be wise not to include them so I thought
I'd warn people about that.

Nice to see you're still about though as it has been all quiet on the
devmon front. Wouldn't happen to have added logic have you? ;)

Now that I think about it, I might have put group-except
code in there, but I'll have to check...

Bb-hostedit doesn't freak when it sees comments, however
when it rewrites your bb-hosts file, your comments will magically disappear. I could fix this, but the ROI for me
would be neglible, since we don't use comments.

Yeah, I think the sourceforge mailing list is broken, but I
don't know why and havent had time to fix it.

I'm getting close to releasing devmon v0.2 though. If you
have any requests you should put them in now :)
