A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

Hi
I have a client machine that I am trying to monitor which is running RHEL 4.9 and has glibc version 2.3.4. When I try to run 'runclient.sh', it complains that it requires glibc 2.5 or better. I am not able to get glibc 2.5 or better from Red Hat. Can you please let me know how to overcome this issue?

Thanks

Take a look at http://tools.rebel-it.com.au/xymon-rclient/ - this runs on
the xymon server and connects to the client system remotely to obtain the
client data etc.

I'm running this on our system to connect over SSH to numerous locked down
linux based systems that we cannot install a full xymon client on to.
