Has anyone worked out how to create a link in Xymonton to directly
download the code of a test? The monitor page template has a Download
field which is why I'm curious.

DokuWiki doco suggests it's possible:
http://www.dokuwiki.org/syntax#downloadable_code_blocks

It doesn't seem to work. The <file> tag isn't supported at all. Old
version on xymonton, or my bad?

Thanks, David.

You should be able to add a file when you are editing the page. You
then use the wiki markup to reference it. When you click on "edit", the
icon with the picture frame (beside the smiley) will allow you to add
images and other files. Let me know if it's not working for some reason.
