Morning.

I want to run a test every hour...how do I stop the alert from going
purple after 30 mins?

Thanks

Hi,

you need to extend the default liftime (30 mins) of yor status message
by specifiying staus+LIFETIME.

In your case something like status+1h

Not in a file, in the alert itself.
http://xymon.org/hobbit/help/manpages/man1/bb.1.html

so, if your test currently sends
"status sam.example.com.eggs red I will not eat them on a boat. I will
not eat them with a goat."

you would want to change that to:
"status+85 sam.example.com.eggs green I do so like green eggs and ham.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Sam"

If you use +1h, then any delay could show up as transient purples, so
best to give yourself a little cushion.
